blue Collar workers
In the movie Tammy was brought up in a poor family with lots of kids. She is now raising a family that is poor and she has a lot of kids. I think this is because this is how she was brought up and what she saw as a kid. I think social classes are learned when you are little. It also seems hard to get out of your situation and have a better one when that is all you know. tammy knows she is poor, but doesn't really know how not to be poor i think becsue that is how she was brought up and it is all she has known her whole life. It seems like her kid are ashamed and want to be like everyone else. They also almost aqt times seemed ashamed of their mother becuase she works at burger king and does not have a licence or a car. I give her alot of credit becasue she could jsut take the esay way out, but instead she tryes her hardest and no matter what walks 10 miles to work I don't know alot of people that would do that.

I don't think social class is taught from a young age, but essentially it is inherited. It seems that once you are born into a social class, you remain in or close to it throughout your whole life. It is a cycle that is truely hard to break. Though it shouldn't always be like this, where we start socio-economically does dictate who and what we can become--obviously there are cases where this doesn't apply--but for the most part, it is hard to drastically alter one's class in society.
